Rad Saghar (Iran)

Born and raised in Iran till the age of 18, I graduated from the leading international fashion school Esmod in Paris in 1996. Since then my background, desire and determination as a fashion designer has allowed me to get into some of the most luxury fashion houses in Paris such as Chloé, Givenchy, and Emanuel Ungaro... My admiration and experience in fashion further developed my perspective which, today, I express through my paintings. My today's work is a result of the combination of fashion and art, which give my paintings a new dimension, a new sense.

In this collection (ART OF COLOR 1) each piece is created spontaneously. At first there are many elements in my paintings that act and react to the stroke of colors. The colors are dilute very quickly with my fingers to form circles, lead by emotions and everyday observation. Colors and textures blend with the background, and yet they speak to us with incredible power, giving you an emotion, a feeling. The combination of both illustrative and abstract styles gives  a dreamy quality to my work and emabark our imagination on a journey to a completely differnt world.

We can also consider it as a color therapy : each color is a healing treatment, a wellness state, an emotion or a mood.

I paint intuitively without any plan for what the piece should be in the end. Painting is  the enjoyment of moments of eternity when the stream of life flows smothly. Emotions and anxieties, as well as pleasures and the unexpected outcomes of pushing paint around the canvas gives me a limitless energy that encourages my interests and love for colors to be reflected in my work.
