“I was born on May 29, 1972 in Moulins. Influenced by comics, I started drawing at the age of 6 years old . When I entered my teenage years, I started to teach myself painting. At the end of college, I left home to study in Bordeaux to become draftsman in executive advertising. It eventually turned out eventually that it was not a proper fit for me. In the meantime, I became more interested by Rock music. Back in Allier county, I worked as an animator in a retirement home and in recreation center but also as a newspaper deliverer, an advertising papers distributor and other rewarding jobs…
After all these experiences, I learned how to play the guitar and blues with a one arm harmonica’s player, which will make me discover many musicians. It was a time when drawing and painting were not my main focus anymore. Around 1997, I earned a degree in Medical & Psychological aid and held a job in a center for mentally disabled adults in Vendôme.I didn’t have much interest for this job, putting all my energy in my noisy pop group. As a result, we recorded two "cd splits" with the popper of the French punk garage Lucas Trouble, aka the Kaiser. Later, the group split up and I started to write and compose my own songs, which would lead me to both "Le Printemps de Bourges" and "Les Rencontres d’Astaffort" in 2002 and 2003. The rise was fast and the descent vertiginous, which happened little after I travelled to and discovered Vietnam. After 3 trips to this country, I sold my modest home to live there as I had been long dreaming of remote lands while reading Geo magazine or Corto Maltese. In Vietnam, I resumed drawing and painting with great pleasure, born anew via the sensory intoxication of new colors, noises and culture. ”
